This type specimen is demonstrated in the form of a fashion magazine. The Didot typeface not only has a large history in the printing industry due to the Didot family and their success, but it has also impacted the fashion world in a significant manner. Didot has been utilised by Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar for many decades in their fashion editorials. The design of this type specimen is also highly influenced by the renowned designer Alexey Brodovitch as he used the font in a lot of his work, especially as an art director for Harper’s Bazaar throughout the 1930s to 50s. Hence, why classic and elegant fashion photography from that time is used in my specimen.
